Due to the current political situation, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) is suspending its institutional cooperation activities with Russia for the time being. At the instigation of the Russian authorities, the DFG closed its representation in Moscow in April 2022.

The DFG deeply regrets the consequences from an academic perspective. However, the Head Office in Bonn remains available as a reliable contact partner for researchers from both countries.

The DFG is currently suspending its institutional cooperation activities with Russian partner organisations. Until further notice, no joint calls for proposals will be announced.Until further notice, there will be no joint calls for proposals with Russian partner organisations regarding the funding of cooperation projects.
