(26.10.22) At this year’s Materials Science and Engineering Congress in Darmstadt at the end of September, the initiative was represented with an information stand and a Science Breakfast. In spite of its early scheduling, this hybrid information event was very well attended.

(25.04.22) Under the auspices of the DFG, the “Research in Germany” initiative took part in the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) from 8 to 13 April 2022 in various face-to-face and online formats. At a joint stand entitled “Cancer Research in Germany” set up at the exhibitor hall in New Orleans, USA, international participants were able to obtain comprehensive advice on funding and research opportunities in the field of cancer research from the “Research in Germany” initiative, the German Cancer Research Center, the Cluster of Excellence “Image-Guided and Functionally Instructed Tumour Therapies” (iFIT) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine (ITEM).

(29.03.22) For the first time in two years, the March Meeting of the American Physical Society was held on site in Chicago, USA. There was also a virtual event section for all those unable to travel. Research in Germany was represented both virtually and live on site.

(23.03.21) Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, the largest meeting for cancer science and medicine worldwide, will again be held this year in an online format only and will take place in two one-week periods on April 10-15 and May 17-21, 2021.

The “Research in Germany” initiative will participate as an exhibitor in both meeting weeks. At our AACR exhibitor page and at the Cancer Research Spotlight Page, you can find information about the German cancer research landscape. Moreover, we plan an online seminar about “Career Opportunities in Cancer Research in Germany,” as well as a “Research in Germany” virtual booth at the 2021 Virtual Cancer and Biomedical Research Career Fair.
