Kant’s political philosophy in times of globalization

Ein in blau, schwarz und weiß gehaltenes Portrait von Immanuel Kant neben dem Veranstaltungstitel

To commemorate the year of the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant’s birth the Committee of Japanische Kant-Gesellschaft is planning a research forum on the philosophy of peace "Kant and the Pacifism in the 21st Century" (10th November 2024, Tohoku University).

Preliminary to this forum the Japanische Kant-Gesellschaft in cooperation with the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities at Sophia University and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) invite the interested public to a Lecture "Kant’s political philosophy in times of globalization".

When considering Kant’s philosophy of peace his famous essay "Toward Perpetual Peace" immediately comes to mind. "Toward Perpetual Peace" provides a point of entry for reflections on the present-day significance of Kant’s political philosophy.

The lecture event invites researchers in the field of philosophy as well as everyone interested in a philosophy of peace.
