As an open system, science is international: science and research thrive on the exchange of arguments and ideas as well as on stimuli and suggestions; they thrive on cooperation and also on competition – regardless of national borders. One of the DFG’s core tasks is to provide the best possible support for international cooperation wherever research itself requires it.
