The Committee on Scientific Instrumentation and Information Technology is a subcommittee of the Joint Committee. It is responsible for all issues relating to major instrumentation, including IT systems, and instrumentation-related research infrastructure. It also has an advisory role vis-à-vis other DFG bodies and carries out evaluations in funding programmes with a focus on instrumentation infrastructure.
