(10.03.22) Research ideas are seldom tackled by one researcher alone – it often needs a team of great minds to develop ideas and set up successful projects.

To share information about ways to approach potential collaboration partners and find the right funding, the DFG was hosted by EURAXESS ASEAN for an online Info-Session on March 3rd.

The event was aimed at research administrators, seasoned principal investigators and experienced researchers in the ASEAN region seeking to explore funding opportunities for collaborative research with German partners. It was open to participants of all nationalities and all scientific disciplines.

Around 500 researchers from all career levels joined the online info-session. After an introduction of the activities and responsibilities of EURAXESS by Susanne Rentzow -Vasu, Raoul Wagner and Dr. Franziska Langer, both from DFG’s International Affairs division gave an overview about funding options for international collaborative research between German and ASEAN researcher.
The talks were followed by a Q&A moderated by Dr. Jenny Lind Elmaco, EURAXESS ASEAN.

Researchers and research administrators were encouraged to get in contact with the representatives from the DFG in order to get all the needed information about funding schemes aimed at international research partners.
