(18.08.22) From September 26 to 29, fungal biology scientists from all over the world will get together in Sao José dos Campos, Brazil for the 13th International Fungal Biology Conference (IFBC) & 4th International Symposium on Fungal Stress (ISFUS).
From food production, the development of agriculture and even applications in medicine, fungi play an important and essential role for life on our planet. As well as beneficial ones, there are also disease-causing fungi. Therefore, knowing the mechanisms of stress adaptation in fungi can broaden the possibilities of intervention to modulate their ability to adapt to specific environments in the interest of society. This conference will feature talks from scientists from several countries who work on all these topics at the frontier of the research in fungi, including ecology and environment, health, sustainability, agriculture, industry, technology, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and industrial processes. This event will be a unique opportunity to discuss with the most renowned scientists in these fields.
As part of the initiative “Research in Germany”, the DFG Office Latin America and DAAD Brazil will provide an information session on September 26 on "Research in Germany – Fellowships, Exchange and Collaboration Programmes". The goal is to offer comprehensive information on the German research landscape and on funding opportunities for researchers of all career levels. The event is ideal for exchanging ideas with those who already have extensive experience and can give important tips for those who would like to pursue research in this area in Germany.
In addition, throughout the conference programme, representatives of the DFG and DAAD will be available at the Research in Germany booth to answer questions about their respective funding programs.
