(29.06.23) From 15 to 19 July 2023, the 27th IPSA World Congress of Political Science will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event is organised by the International Political Science Association (IPSA). In this edition, with the theme Politics in the Age of Transboundary Crises: Vulnerability and Resilience, the international congress will have a particularly strong Latin American representation.
The IPSA - organised every two years - is the main international gathering of political scientists working in higher education institutions, research and consulting institutions all around the world. The theme addressed in this edition invites reflection on challenges and opportunities that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and overcome social, cultural, economic, ethnic, sexual and linguistic barriers, such as climate change, cyber terrorism, global migration flows and even health threats as we have experienced during the coronavirus pandemic.
As part of the IPSA Congress, the DFG Office Latin America is organising a Research in Germany information session on "Grants, Fellowships, Exchange and Collaboration Programs for Research in and with Germany", which will be held on July 17 from 11 am to 12.45 pm (local time).
The special session will provide an insight into the German research landscape, including information on funding modalities and collaboration opportunities. In addition, Prof. Dr Mariana Llanos from the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and from the University of Erfurt will participate to share her experience with the German research infrastructure from her perspective as a researcher.
During the congress, there will be a Research in Germany booth where representatives of the DFG will be available to answer questions about funding opportunities for those wishing to conduct research in Germany or in cooperation with researchers from Germany.
