The meeting, held in San Diego, USA, focuses on the newest findings and challenges in the field of materials research.
(26.10.22) At this year’s Materials Science and Engineering Congress in Darmstadt at the end of September, the initiative was represented with an information stand and a Science Breakfast. In spite of its early scheduling, this hybrid information event was very well attended.

Under the auspices of the DFG, the “Research in Germany” initiative was represented on site with a well-frequented information stand and a networking event for early-career investigators.
(26.07.22) From August 29 to September 2 2022, international researchers will get together in Locarno, Switzerland for the 11th European Conference on Radar in Meteorology and Hydrology. Onsite as well as online, “Research in Germany” will provide detailed information on the German radar research landscape and about career and funding opportunities for scientists of all career stages.
(25.07.22) The "Research in Germany" initiative participated in the Curious 2022 - Future Insights Conference for the first time. On site in Darmstadt and at a virtual information booth, visitors were able to get advice on research and funding opportunities in Germany.

The hybrid conference, held in Darmstadt, Germany, and online, focuses on the discussion of the future of science and technology and finding visionary solutions for today’s most pressing challenges.

At a joint stand entitled “Cancer Research in Germany” set up at the exhibitor hall in New Orleans, USA, international participants were able to obtain comprehensive advice on funding and research opportunities in the field of cancer research from the “Research in Germany” initiative, the German Cancer Research Center, the Cluster of Excellence “Image-Guided and Functionally Instructed Tumour Therapies” (iFIT) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine (ITEM).
(29.03.22) For the first time in two years, the March Meeting of the American Physical Society was held on site in Chicago, USA. There was also a virtual event section for all those unable to travel. Research in Germany was represented both virtually and live on site.

(21.07.21) From 4 to 9 July 2021, the renowned Goldschmidt Conference was held as a virtual event for the first time due to the coronavirus pandemic. The “Research in Germany” initiative was involved in the event with a virtual exhibitor page as well as an online information workshop on the subject of research and funding opportunities in the field of geochemistry in Germany.

It was attended by over 2200 participants from around the world, who seized the opportunity of virtual learning and exchange in the field of political science. The Research in Germany initiative contributed to various agenda items at the virtual conference.

(22.07.20) Instead of coming together in late May 2020 in the Japanese metropolis of Chiba, more than 5000 international geoscientists connected virtually from their home offices from 12 to 16 July. The Research in Germany initiative presented a subject-specific overview of the German research landscape.

Participants from all over the world had the opportunity to exchange information online in the field of labour market research. The Research in Germany initiative provided information about funding and research opportunities in Germany during an online session.

Scientists from around the globe will come together virtually to network and present their latest research results. (21.07.20) The European specialist neuroscience conference was held as an online event for the first time from 11 to 15 June 2020. More than 500 neuroscientists from all over the world registered for the event. The Research in Germany initiative participated alongside Graduate Schools and research networks under the name “Neuroscience in Germany”.
(02.07.20) As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the “JpGU – AGU Joint Meeting 2020“ will be held exclusively online. Geoscientists from around the globe will come together virtually from July 12 to 16 to network and present their latest research results. The Initiative “Research in Germany” will participate as an exhibitor with a virtual booth. Together with several German research institutions it will provide information about research and funding opportunities in the field of neuroscience in Germany via chats and downloads.

The Initiative “Research in Germany” will participate and provide international researchers with subject-related information about the German research landscape and funding opportunities on June 26.
